my view of the Neo-Bankside apartments from the viewing platform at Tate Modern Switch House.
visiting the viewing platform at Tate Modern Switch House a month ago, i did wonder if the residents at the condo beside it (Neo-Bankside) were in any way bothered by the very public access the new extension would provide to the museum’s visitors. i guess they’re bothered… but this quote from the article stands out:
‘The Tate Modern extension and its viewing gallery were permitted in planning terms – as was Neo Bankside. However nobody really clocked the impact this was going to have on the residents living in the apartments.’
what’s that quote about art imitating life imitating art?
